Looking for real love this valentines day?

Then look no further than your local animal shelter! They have a large selection of special needs and elderly pets who are looking for true love. You know, the ones that get passed over in favor of younger, healthier, and cuter. They are ready and waiting to shower you with love not only on Valentines Day, but for all time.

I’m a special needs dog and look how great I am!

Can you imagine what it feels like to be 14 and 12 respectively and surrendered to a shelter. Thats exactly what happened to Mollie and Katie.

You can provide a warm, safe, and loving home for a senior pet during their twilight years. Katie spent 9 months with us, while Mollie lasted a year before they both crossed over.

I liked Katie. She would walk with me in my back yard. Never jumped all over me or stole my bowtie.

And then there’s dogs like Blue. You can pick your handicap here. He is a pit bull mix and missing a rear leg. Blue was found in a NYC Transit depot yard as young puppy. He was hit by a car. Kind people brought him to VCA Northside Animal Hospital in Danbury, CT where the vets saved his life, but not his leg.

Blue now divides his time between hunting frogs in a pond with his little people and hiking in the woods with his big people. And on Valentines Day, gets a special treat from his family.

Before you make dinner reservations or buy chocolate  or flowers or jewelry this Valentines Day, stop off at your local shelter and find yourself some true love.

The journey continues
