On this beautiful day we find ourselves at the Chester Dog Fair!

The Chester Dog Fair benefits Homeward BoundTheir goal is to help rescues place pets by providing supportive services to them at no cost.

At first, I wasn’t going to bring Spirit to the Chester Dog Fair, but he managed to make me feel guilty about not going to Hershey. As it was a last minute decisions, he did not get a bath beforehand.

Let’s go, let’s go, let’s go. I got petted, and played with other dogs. Mom got me pupcakes! Yum!

By the end of the day, we both felt like this!

The last demonstration of the Chester Dog Fair was by the police department showcasing their german shepherds. A little girl was beside herself because she couldn’t pet the police dogs. As tired as Spirit was, he got out of his crate, and went over to the little girl, who petted him and promptly calmed down.

And that, my friends, is why we call him Spirit. He has heart and soul.

His journey continues
